BDA (Battle Damage Assessment)

Saturday started wet, but following a brief rain delay, the bands set up, and provided jamm’n entertainment. A big THANK YOU, to all the participants! We are also forever grateful to Scootergoods, their entire staff, and DonV and Big Ragoo, for making the Battle a great success. Carmine has cosmic powers…he can brighten up any gloomy day with his SUNSHINE. Thanks Carmine….

Vendors (Cherokee, Jeff and Debbie) added quality hand crafted goods, awesome patches and charming scenery. The Veteran Extravaganza Vendor Trailer was just that! I salute you Cherokee.

From the judges…It was a difficult task to judge these great performers, and we thank them for taking time out from their busy schedules to appear at our “Sail Inn” event. Just edging out Pasco Lefty for the win was Better Late (Bobkatz). Our congratulations go out to them.  We will let everyone know when they will next appear at the Sail. Please support all of our contestants: Tyler Creek Road Band, Pasco Lefty, George Marshall, Short Notice, and the winner, Better Late.

The beer and jello shots gals  (Mel & Stacy) did a great job. Bob (Hutch) volunteered as their BODY guard (DUH). Thanks for the mammarys.

Ken was the man....he did all those important things behind the scenes necessary to keep everything going s m o o t h. You rock, Ken.

How’bout those gals behind the bar, Jacine and Chris. Not only beautiful, but competent. That’s a recipe for success…….

And lastly….our fish fry went south (no-show, no-call, OH CRAP). But Dan (Spank Me Please), Neck Brace Joe, and BOO did a great job recovering with fantastic free Grilled Stuff…The Sail donated the food, and we received generous contributions from all the attendees, all going to cancer research. My mother Kathy is in another kind of Battle. Maybe this will help in some way. Your prayers are also welcomed.
